The Country Store is an independent family business created, owned and run by ourselves, Fred and Vivienne Webb. The store provides a unique one stop shopping experience for all your pet foods, fishing, clothing and firearms to serve the local rural community. The store itself is divided into departments, each with specialist staff, although some staff are multi skilled and can serve in all shops! We look forward to welcoming you to The Country Store, either in person or over the phone. It provides a unique one stop shopping experience! |

| History We began the business in 1986 and initially traded from our home in Sawston under the name of Sawston Farm Feeds. It originally had two parts, supplying Pet Feeds to the general public and Grain Merchanting for farmers. At that time we delivered all orders for the pet feeds to customer’s homes. On the 1st April 1992 the business moved to its current site, opening as a shop, allowing customers to collect their orders rather than having them delivered. In 1993 the Shooting and Fishing departments were bought by us from the Thornton family and added to the store, making a one-stop shop for the country dweller. As the retail trade grew and became the main part of the business, the grain merchanting reduced and in 2000 the company name was changed to the present one of The Country Store. |
